FS Memories categories and structure for family Groups
In response to your emails, Albums are a good first starting point to categorize personal media by name in Familysearch . Google uses three categories to identify events in the life of a person - people, places and things.
But we need to step back and look at what FS memories or media albums are today. They are just a disorganized file of pictures, sounds, stories or web links supporting disconnected events in a person's life. They are not even an order of events.
Media to be useful should have titles/captions with metadata (date and location) and if possible the author (who upload the file for collaboration.)
I would recommend a serious investigation of the life event features in the personal computer applications of Legacy Family Tree, RootsMagic and Family Tree Maker, (there maybe others.) that can make timelines beyond birth, marriage, children and death. (I.E. vital data) for the new FS Family Groups.
All memories are not of equal genealogical value. Nephi kept two records.
There should be minimum suggest memories required at genealogy level and the opinions to expand to Abraham's level of Book of Remembrance with family data, pictures, documents, audio, stories and weblinks.
