Seeberg BE - baptism - 1797 - Leibundgut - parents' marriage 1796
Joseph Leibundgut (also Leib und Gut) and Elisabeth Gnägi had a son Johannes in 1797 and was married in 1796. What I'm really I'm interested in, is the translation. I hope to find the place Elisabeth was born and her fathers name. It looks like Elisabeth was born in Rindtbyl (maybe Rindtbühl now?), but I can't find this place. Is it in Seeberg? Does it say anything about Joseph Leibundgut ocuopation?
Thank you so much.

Parents are usually not mentioned if a widowed person gets married again, for a bride usually the late husband is mentioned. I assume the groom's father was added later - after he had witnessed the baptism of his grandson.
How to find the bride's parents / origin? For a widow search for her previous marriage - with Johann Gygax. I don't find a suitable marriage in Seefeld. Gygax is a very common name in canton Bern (many places of citizenship): of the pre-1800 places of citizenship Herzogenbuchsee and Thörigen (also parish Herzogenbuchsee) belong (like Seefeld) to the district of Wangen - so here a search should be started - unfortunately a quick search in Herzogenbuchsee was unsuccessful - so you'll have to search further.
Alternatively you are welcome to register with https://www.geneal-forum.com/ (free and without obligation) and respond to https://www.geneal-forum.com/phpbb/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=1055. Mention that you have a marriage 1796 in Seefeld of Elisabeth Gnägi, widow of Johannes Gygax (of unknown citizenship), and ask if anyone has information on her first marriage. A forum member has a marriage database (Excel) for a large number of parishes in canton Bern - and does look-ups 😉.
