source for marriages
Hello,
- would it be possible to show the number of sources there are for a marriage like it does for name/birth etc.
- Also when adding a marriage source is it possible to add the tag at this stage instead of going back into the orginal marriage entry and then tagging the source
- when adding a marriage source can the cursor be automatically set to start at the date and not have to click the line before being able to enter data.
Thanks
Wendy

Number 1 already exists ...sort of. It's hidden: you have to click on the marriage event -- not the pencil, but the part that turns gray when your cursor is in the area.
This brings up the "view" version of the "Couple Relationship" popup, which has a source counter as well as a "Tag Sources" button/link.
But I agree that that's rather too mysterious, and would prefer if the source counter were right there with the event, below the couple's names, same as it is for conclusions in Vitals and Other.
(But if they do implement this suggestion, I kinda want to take bets on how long before the false memories start showing up, in the form of complaints that FS has stopped tagging marriage sources.)

The marriage source is connected to the relationship, rather than to the individuals. That's part of the reason it is somewhat buried. I, too, wish it was more visible. And I wonder if the new version of the source linker (visible as an option in the beta platform) may make some changes possible?

@Julia Szent-Györgyi You said "This brings up the "view" version of the "Couple Relationship" popup, which has a source counter as well as a "Tag Sources" button/link."
That's not exactly true. When you click on the big gray area for an event, you are only bringing up the "view" version of that EVENT for the couple relationship. When you are looking at an event on a couple relationship, you see the list of sources tagged for that event (that's the count) and you can tag sources. But this is only for that event, not for the full relationship.
The full Couple Relationship popup can be seen only by clicking the pencil icon. That will show you everything about that relationship: participants, events, facts, sources, notes, and change log. The list of events may contain multiple events. Each of the events has the option to click on the gray area (which will take you to the "view" version of the event, exactly as when you click on the primary event for the relationship back on the person page) or the pencil icon (which takes you to the "edit" version of the event).
On the full Couple Relationship popup, there is a list of sources. That list does not contain a count. It's not clear to me if the original post was talking about this list of attached sources for the relationship, or the list of tagged sources for the particular event.

@Alan E. Brown, I phrased it like that because all of the popups are labeled identically, as "Couple Relationship".

@Just Me Again 22 Regarding point 2:
Also when adding a marriage source is it possible to add the tag at this stage instead of going back into the original marriage entry and then tagging the source
A significant update to the source linker is underway. I would hope that the new source linker will tag any event that is added to the couple relationship as it attaches the source to the couple relationship. We'll see.
UPDATE: I just tried this on the new source linker on Beta. It didn't add any tags. I provided used the Feedback link on the new source linker to let them know; I hope that there is still time to add that event tagging before it is actually released.

@Just Me Again 22 Regarding point 3:

I think you're referring to adding a marriage event (not a marriage source). In that case, I would certainly agree. It could well be helpful to focus on the first entry field (the date) so that you can start typing immediately. That's analogous to what is done when adding an alternate name, which also has a dropdown for the type, but focuses initially on the first name field so that you can start typing the name immediately.
