Editing eats my comments

This is happened twice in the last two days, but if I go back to edit a post or comment that I've already successfully posted, the post disappears, and maybe reemerges only a good while later after a moderator reapproves it. Any way of fixing this bug?

The edits can get your post sent for approval, but we are not sure if it has to do with the amount of time between when a comment is posted and edited. If you see a pattern, please @ mention or private message me. You can also send me a message when something needs approval.

This issue was a problem back in October 2021 when it was supposed to have been resolved according to Mark McLemore. @Maile L , perhaps you could contact Mark if he is still involved.

The only issue I've seen, in the last few months, is when the comment/post contains an image.

I've had an issue where if I edit a comment too many times after posting it, it deletes the comment. I think it may be an intentional feature built into the site, meant to avoid some sort of trolling, but I'm not 100% sure.
