Please consider changing My Tree label

An ongoing struggle in Family Tree as expressed over and over in Community is to get users to understand the "one world, universal, wiki-style, joint, open-edit family tree that we are all working on together." I don't know how many times I have written variations of that statement in posts in Community as people complain "I set up my tree on FamilySearch back to 1200 and now someone is changing my tree and editing my data!!! How were they able to hack into my account and get into my tree???"

I am concerned that using the label "My Tree" for the living and confidential people only I can see will undo years of convincing people that they do not have a "my tree" in Family Tree. This concern was reinforced by several posts by one user who was thrilled to be telling everyone that based on the RootsTech presentation this year about shared family groups that clearly FamilySearch was now going to let each of us have a private My Tree where we could keep our data pristine and push it over as needed into the general joint tree.

Please consider coming up with a different label that will not be a potential source of confusion.

My Living?

My Private?

{username}?

Me - Not Group?

My Living People?

I really don't know what short phrase would best express, "These are the same living, private people that only I can see that I have always had and all users can still see all the deceased people because they are still in the main universal tree."

I totally agree "My Tree" is not what we want. It was recently labeled "My Private Tree". Here is some insight into the discussion.

One issue we have is the word "Private" is overloaded and sometimes conveys the wrong meaning.

The other issue is the "Private Space" which usually has only "Living" can also contain deceased persons.

@Gordon Collett Yes, we agree and have been stuck on what is the right term for months now. We have been trying the ones Lyle mentioned about, but we really are not there yet. We are not planning to use MY TREE either. So we need to divine intervention.

Glad to hear the intent really is to have something different than "My Tree." I really hope your designers don't go home with pounding headaches every day.

The most neutral label to mean "this is different from your groups" that I can think of would just be to have as much of a person's user name as would fit. My user name actually takes the same amount of space as the name I picked for the group:

What is the longest label that can be displayed before you start truncating and tack on an ellipsis? A person should not need to be able to read all of his or her own user name to realize that is what one is seeing and since only that one person would see his or her own tree, it would not matter if several users had the same first twelve or so characters for their user names.
