I hope I haven't overstayed my welcome in this community resource.

I am not sure how many documents I can attach to a posting but I have 4.

The first is the birth record of my 2nd great grandmother, Caroline Schappacher, born 22 Jan 1840. I will be visiting her birth town next week.

The second is the birth record of her father, Gabriel Schappacher, born about 1809.

Third is the marriage of Gabriel to Jacobine Rosch, 7 Sep 1830 I have found some records have (setrob) after her name. Do you know what that means?

Finally is the death certificate for Gabriel Schappacher, 31 Mar 1855.

Thanks to all who have taken on this in the past and present.

Margie

Have you asked these questions in the German Group:

When you repost to the Germany group, is there any chance of including a link to where you found these documents, hopefully at a much higher image resolution than these jpegs?

If you stick to one question per forum post, then the other questions have less chance of getting forgotten, and you run less risk of the whole thing going unanswered due to exceeding people's available time or energies. On the other hand, having multiple closely-related documents all in one post can help with deciphering each one, and will prevent people from needing to research the same thing all over again. Choose your poison. :-)

(Files 2 and 4 are the same register image, slightly differently annotated. I cannot read enough of it to figure out if it's actually his birth or death.)
