Why are Hints already attached to an individual showing up in my Hints list?
The hint referred to in this notice is already attached to a name in FamilySearch. I cannot find a way to prevent it from showing up in my list. I'm not sure that just removing it from the list is the correct approach because I don't know why it's showing up. Thanks! Britt Franklin

There are three conditions that could cause this to happen. One reason is that the source is connected to the wrong person. Another reason is that the other person is a duplicate. The third reason is that the source is already connected to the correct person.

That looks like what an already-attached indexed record has at the top of the right-hand column of its detail page. It's sometimes followed by a list of "Similar Records", but it is not a hints list: FS is simply saying that those records are similar to the one you're looking at. Some of them may already be attached to the Tree; it'll say so, in that case.
Or are you saying that you got to that page from a hint on the profile? I'm not seeing any hints on Elizabeth May (G4JP-3K5), so perhaps you were simply looking at a "stale" hint, i.e. the list on the profile hadn't been refreshed yet? (There seems to have been a new behavior introduced today: the profile page re-loads if I so much as look at it funny, so I can't test the behavior of stale hints any more.)

The hint regarding Elizabeth May may be a "stale hint" but it's still there and it shows up in my Hints list. I have been unable to determine what to do about it. Refreshing doesn't seem to change anything. So far.

Are you talking about the list on your home page?
(I think it has a different label on LDS accounts.) Like everything else on the homepage, I basically just ignore that list, so I don't know how it behaves. Are you saying that the suggestion for Elizabeth May is still on it, despite being already attached?
