If you go to the person page on FamilySearch, go down to tools (see below) you will find possible duplicates. If you click on that it will take you to any duplicates.

Use the following techniques to find duplicates not included in the possible duplicate list:

    • Search Family Tree and review the search results.
    • Perform a similar search through the Find Similar People tool.

The article gives details, and there are also related articles

    Thank you for reaching out

If there is ever a number next to that Possible Duplicates () in Tools, they will always show up in the Research Help section at the top of the page so you really do not need to scroll down.

"Use the following techniques to find duplicates not included in the possible duplicate list..."

Excuse me for wanting to make this absolutely clear - any profiles that you find through searching FamilyTree or any that you find using the Find Similar tool are only possible duplicates that you must check yourself. Heck, that even applies to the Possible Duplicates in the Tools (the clue is in the name, of course, 😉 )

The difference is that those listed by the Possible Duplicates in Tools have gone through some sort of checking in the computer to see if they might, possibly, maybe, be a match.

Those that you find yourself through searching FamilyTree or using the Find Similar tool, haven't gone through any such checking and you have to do all the checking yourself. In particular, the Find Similar tool throws just about everyone with the same name at you, regardless of their dates and places. In other words, you will probably drown in the responses.

Frankly, unless you're a FamilyTree Jedi searching for someone that you (somehow) know is in the Tree but isn't coming up in Possible Duplicates, then I'd leave Find Similar alone.
