Why is the system not letting me change my email? Who can help me change my email?
To change your email, you first have to go into your Settings (found by clicking on your name), then to Account.
By where you see "Password and Recovery" there is a pencil icon. This will give you a popup that will allow you to change your email.
Once you change the email on FamilySearch, hit "Save" and you're done on FamilySearch.
I would also recommend going to your email to verify that it was changed correctly.
Are you talking about in FamilySearch or here in Community? You cannot change the one listed here in this profile because your account is linked to your FamilySearch account. If you change the email in FamilySearch, the Community one will change as well.
A few days ago I went through the same steps Marton mentioned here and I was given an error message, but today it worked.
