Locating a Submitter of photo material
I am researching the Savard family.
A previous Savard descendant "Rita Adams" Hunt did a significant amount and submitted material to Family Search around 1995-2010.
I have a copy of a photograph from her material identified as
"Louise Savard Sequin" (my grandmother) hand corrected to Seguin, married to Edward Sequin.
It is a portrait taken in Poultney, Vermont, by "F. M. Root"
a hand written note " heir, Marie Ann W.C. Peterson, 10th cousin"
The submission record includes:
"Information; QUEBEC. 3, VOL. 7 Page 148, M. A, Madeline C. Peterson submitted the sheet. 525 Semple St., Modesta, CA., Stake. San Juaquin Modesta,"
The photo in unlikely, Louise Savard, but possibly a relative of her brother John Joseph Savard, who married Mae Evalena Meeker. Her family came from the area near Poultney, Vt.
My initial question is how do I locate records by / of Madeline C. Peterson. I have found some possibilities doing census search but need more clues.
Attached (hopefully) is the submission sheet.

All you need is to compare the address that is listed here with the census records and any directory records you might find on Marie Ann Madeline C Peterson. If you have her in the census, you should have other family members to help you continue finding out more about her.
You might also look in Family Tree for this Louise, and do a descendancy chart to see if M A Madeline C Peterson shows up somewhere down the line...that might help you find out if she is still alive or already deceased.
If she is already deceased, see if you can find an obituary that lists her children. One of them might now have all the research that she did.
