Missouri Death in 1907
I am looking for my great great grandfather's death certificate. He died in 1907, in Carroll County, Missouri. I did find his grave in the Coloma Cemetery. Otherwise, a
ll I could find was a blip in a newspaper:
OBITUARY: Appeared in the 14 Nov. 1907 issue of the newspaper
Daniel Sperry. Married Miss Sarah Bunch in 1850. Came to Missouri in 1844, born in Ohio. Eight children born to them. Served in Civil War. Coloma Cemetery. Interred Nov. 10 - died last week.
His info: Daniel Israel Sperry, born Jan 1829, in Wood, Ohio and passed away Nov. 1907.
I have checked Ancestry and Family Search, State of Missouri death records, church records, wiki search, everything that I could think of. I keep hitting a dead-end. Any ideas of where else I could look?
Thanks for your time and help. I appreciate it.
Deb
PS: His son (in the picture) John Garrett Sperry, disappeared from the record books about 1932. No record of his death anywhere.

Like many states, Missouri only started requiring death certificates in the early 20th century. Compliance was pretty good after 1910, but there are few certificates before that time. https://s1.sos.mo.gov/records/archives/archivesdb/birthdeath/ The FamilySearch Wiki section on Missouri vital records is a good place to learn about what is available. https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Missouri_Vital_Records

I have searched that Missouri site several times for other death certificates, but thanks for sharing it all the same! I appreciate it.
