Conserve paper by creating a "temporary print queue."
When I spend 3-4 hours going through records to link, i often find 5-20 new names to submit to family search/temple ready, and find i am related to several. I waste a lot of paper, printing one name at a time, as I go.
I find that if i ONLY reserve a particular new name (and don't print it right out then), that later it is hard to find it to print out its name card. If I use a filter of "not printed" or "next ordinance," I find that the filter search is weak, and gives me a long list of names, who aren't what I am looking for (eg if i am searching for all persons who now need their initiatory or endowment performed (eg already baptized), that my search also yields all the people whose cards are not yet printed but still need baptism/confirmation first).
That is why I print out name cards "as I go," as i find new names i am related to. But I waste a lot of paper. My suggestion is for the IT/engineering team to create a new button called something like "Place name in Print Queue?". Then when I am all done w my research for that day, I can go to this "Print Queue" and print all the names out at once, saving a lot of paper by being able to print 3 names per page. Thoughts?
