From my research on my Wayte line, on the Isle of Wight, I have found that the information given for Alexander Wayte at https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/LT4X-97N/alexander-wayte-1448-1561 cannot be correct. This is also the case for the pedigree provided by the visitations of Hampshire.

This correction is based on hard data from the Isle of Wight archives and the Calbourne parish registers, that show his parents are incorrect as well as the time frame that he was alive.

That's a "discovery page", which is a public-facing (i.e. no login required) computerized extract from the collaborative, open-edit Family Tree. It can be fixed by users just like you and me. After logging in to FS, go to that page and click the link at the top right to go to the profile's Details page. Then you can make edits (using the pencil buttons), and you can attach or detach relationships and sources, until the profile matches what you know. If there is a published genealogy out there that's wrong, you may want to write a note about it and mark it as an alert, so that other users will be less likely to come along and "helpfully" restore those errors.
