I Request an enhancement to the Source Page "Unfinished Attachments"/"Dismiss"

How would anyone find out that the notice had been dismissed? This is not something that's tracked in the change log, since it's a display thing, not a change to the data.

OK, I didn't know that

The dismissal of unfinished attachments is shown in the change log for the source. You can see a source's change log in a couple of ways:
- In the list of sources attached to a person, expand the source by clicking on the source title (or the down arrow at the extreme right of the title). Then near the bottom of the expanded details, you'll see "Source Modified" and a "SEE CHANGES" button to the right of that. Clicking that button will show all the changes for the source, including the dismissal of the unfinished attachments hint.
- If you choose the VIEW option for an attached source, you'll see a box of "Latest changes"; that may show the hint dismissal if it is one of the last 3 changes, but the SHOW ALL button in that box will certainly show the hint dismissal.
Although the source change log does show the dismissal, it's in a quite obscure place, so even if there were a dismissal reason, hardly anyone would ever see it. Also, the change log entry has a RESTORE button that might lead you to think you could undo the dismissal, yet I have never been able to undo the dismissal via the RESTORE button or by any other means. But at least this does give you a way to see who dismissed the hint in case you want to contact them.

Yes, Alan, thank you for pointing that out. Somewhat "hidden away" but I found what you mean and am posting screenshots to illustrate. (I just dismissed the unfinished attachments hint, as you can see.)
Still doesn't address the inability to provide a reason statement, however - as per the original poster's request. It might be good to be able to state something like, "Dismissed 'unfinished attachment' hint, as individual in record who is not attached is an unidentified servant, of no (other) known relationship to this family."
