How do I create an event if the source is already added?

I would like to add residency and other events but I already added the source.
How do I add the events ?
In the future what order should this be done in?

Go to the profile's Details page, scroll down to the Other Information section, and click "Add Event".
I seldom have reason to take up Source Linker on its offers, because it's very literal-minded: if the index's field is labeled "baptism", it doesn't offer to put it in Christening (where it belongs), for example. Therefore, I generally add events or facts after attaching their sources. But if you generally work with indexes that fit better into Source Linker's framework, then by all means, save a step by taking it up on its offers of events to transfer. The results will be indistinguishable, really, either way.

I'd also like to know the answer to this question of how to create an event if the source is added, I ran into this problem recently but haven't had a chance to solve it.
