How can I change the sex on an indexed record?
The record on film #007720238 page 393 item 41 for Bertie Matthew Keaton has been indexed as a female. This should be recorded as a male child, he is already in family search tree as a male and has been recorded in several other records (including burial information) as a male. Could you please look into this alteration on my behalf.

That index is not, yet, editable. You can still attach the record to PID L5VY-P2V without changing the gender on the record.

Even in collections where the index is correctable on FS, the sexes and relationships very often aren't included in that. However, as Áine said, you can attach the indexed record to the correct Family Tree profile without fixing the index. You can point out the error in the source's Notes/Description field, and/or mention it in the "reason to attach".
I know that the setup and terminology on genealogy websites makes it seem otherwise, but an index is not the data. It is merely a finding aid for the data, and in this case, it has served that purpose: you found the record.
