Problem printing Family Group Records.
I used to be able to print a Family Group Record in .txt format - I can now only find .pdf options. Is the a step I have missed or has this option been discontinued?

The Family Group Record displays as a PDF, but then you have the option to print to any printer attached to your system or to save as a PDF.

Thanks for your response but I was hoping to see the family group record as a .txt file which has no lines in it. The .txt file is much more basic and not as "attractive" as the .pdf version but I can load the information into my other software quite simply without having to re-type all of the information.

Depending on your printer and its driver options, you may be able to print without the background lines/frames.

In my experience there is nothing in a print driver or a printer that will produce the file I was once able to see. It appears that the new page format only prepares a .pdf version of the Family Group Report. The .txt file was obviously produced in the software before the 'old page format' was turned off on 3 Apr 2023. Another failure of 'improvement'.

I don't print things, but I do like to view Family Group records, Fan Chart and Pedigree.... why are these options hidden under Print option?
If I just want to view them I'm not thinking or looking under PRINT.
Can you have a "view family tree" field with "option to print"?

@BJC1234 You can access tree views from the top menu bar and then change views easily.
Once you are in tree view, on the right side, you have the option to change the view of the tree:
My screenshots are from the new pedigree view, but the format is the same in the old view.
