I just reviewed marriage records for a batch. The first record started on the previous image of another batch however because it was so brief could have easily been missed, all of the information was on the image indexed. The last record started on the last image and continued on the next image which was also part of a next batch. Everything that was done, I felt was appropriate, a message was given that the batch was submitted, but no credit was given for the 3 records. This happens over and over again, those who are reviewing need to know what is happening. This did not happen previously, but now happens all the time. Did I do something wrong, if so I need to know, do you not trust the judgement of your reviewers.

1/3 to 1/2 of the indexing batches that I review are not tallied, I would like to understand this new development.

Yesterday I reviewed a batch which was not tallied, I had been taught that the record should be assigned to the image at which it begins. The last review, in which, I moved a record to the image at which it began and indexed a record that the indexer missed on the last page was not tallied.

This time I did not try move records that started on a different image and my review was tallied. I is there anyone out there who makes or modifies procedures that can help me understand my role as a reviewer. In the past when I submitted any reviewed batch it was tallied. I am not understanding, a large number of the batches that I review are not tallied, and I wonder if I really understand my role as an reviewer.

    Please provide guidance.
