"Where can i find free WW2 Dunkirk military records?".

my Grandfather Evan Parry b 1902 was serving in WW2 in Dunkirk , i have just discovered this fact . So can anyone advise me where to look for free Military records ?. Sorry i don't even know his status in the Military ie Army or Seaman . Thanks for any help here.

    Which country was he serving for/from?
