For last few days, any records search gives error; refreshing never helps. Anyone else?

Yes, but very awkwardly. Results in the 10's of millions, with pop-up window to refine search being very narrow and couldn't be re-sized to scroll any bigger. Still, better than just an error message. Thank you for the work-around.
