I just want to report that the program is badly miscounting the number of records indexed. Counting records is pretty basic, and needs to be accurate. Somebody please review the counting program. DWG

Your Indexing Totals should increment only if you SUBMIT the Batch

    OR Toolbar menu icon:

    - but will not increment if you Return Batch - above Batch menu option or Toolbar menu icon:

I don't know if that is the problem you are seeing - but it should be.

In addition to what @genthusiast said, FamilySearch counts the number of NAMES you index, not records. So if you index a record with 54 names, it will add 54 to the count. If you index a record with 3 names, it will add 3 to the count.

I did see another post about the count being unreliable, though, and they seemed to know both this and what @genthusiast said, so perhaps there is an actual error in there somewhere. If so, there's probably a reason it hasn't been fixed by now. Either it's not on the top of the bugfix priority list, or they can't figure out what the cause of the problem is.
