How do you find someone by their ID number?

    One point - for a living person, you can only find by ID number if you entered the profile. The living are protected and only show in the private space of the person who entered the info.

    For deceased persons:

    one method: Use the Link above (Search> Family Tree) then the FIND BY ID tab option (screenshot below):

    (or there are a couple of other options/locations but this is one of the most direct/common).

    For example, if you are already in Family Tree view, you can click the Recents menu and input an ID to search there (screenshot below):

    For Living persons:

    You will not be able to find them unless you entered that profile into Family Tree. If you did - you will find them in your PRIVATE PEOPLE list:

    You can use your browser search function to search that page for an ID.

    Thank you. The person actually sent me the link because they just found out we were related. I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to find her because she was living. I appreciate you taking the time to answer.
