RootsTech Relatives
For RootsTech 2024 could you please enable a way for a relative to be marked as previously looked at. When I check my relatives @ RootsTech 2023, there doesn’t appear to be any easy way to keep track of which relatives have been checked out and which have not. It has been suggested I make a spread sheet but that will be rather time-consuming. It has also been suggested that I add people to my contact list which I have done but it seems when I check there are only a few and definitely not all that I have marked.
No doubt some people I know who they are but not everyone. If I’m unable to determine the exact connection (even though I know the family line) but if there are more than 2 generations that are still living it can be difficult to determine the exact connection.
It would be helpful if family search would consider some method for people to manage their relatives for future RootsTech sessions so that relatives that have already been looked at won’t be checked again and thus take time away from checking new relatives. Relatives that are obviously connected through more than one line would have their checked notation transferred so that one could tell at a glance that that relatives has already been looked at. Perhaps next year familysearch could even offer a class on family connections?
