Carl Jacobs LRV4-LNX
This man shows up in my confidential people area but I don't know why. There is nothing confidential about him. I cannot merge him with the correct man, Carl Jacobs KWCJ-J7C because I get a message saying they are in different trees. I don't know what that means. Please help me remove him from my account so that that the merge can happen. Thank you.

Usually, the bot declares a profile "confidential" if it gets a glimpse of an event in the Middle East, and there does not appear to be a clear route to contesting the bot's actions.
If you can delete the now-confidential profile, I would recommend doing so, after transferring all of the information (minus the "offending" location), relationships, and sources to KWCJ-J7C.

Like other FamilySearch "behaviours", the ability for all to see some IDs with Middle East locations shown in the Vitals section (e.g. KWCJ-J7C) is at odds with the usually commonly provided reason for IDs like LRV4-LNX showing as confidential.

The reason some profiles are marked confidential and some aren't, despite having equivalent events and locations entered, is that the bot only acts on profiles that have somehow been brought to its attention. I have no clue what causes the bot to "look", just as I have never been able to figure out just exactly who is supposed to be protected by confidential status, and from what.
