How can I request permission to perform ordinances for someone who I'm not legally related to and who has no living spouse, children, parents, or siblings? He was my mother's boyfriend for 12 years though they never married. Family search says I'm required to be related and there is no one living to ask permission of. Please advise. Thank you.

I understand the general church guidelines but please consider the circumstances outlined above. I was his stepdaughter and there is no living relative to otherwise grant permission to perform ordinances.
