Does coping things to the Source Box make a double source when added back to the program?

Someone had added a number of sources to the wrong person. I knew which ancestor they belonged to. I copied them to the Source Box, hoping to add them back into the system and correct person. I note that sources brought back to the program, from the Source Box, have a heading of "Copy," and assuming that makes them different from the original source. Now if more of the same sources pop up in "Research Help," and I add them to the program, along with the copy from the Source Box, will I be making double sources?

I guess I am asking if the program can see that it is the same source?

Yes. Since you copied them to the Source Box you created a brand new source not associated with any other source. The program will have no idea what they contain.

If they were FS sources with a tree icon there was no reason to copy them. If they are incorrectly attached use the source linker to detach them from the wrong person and attach them to the right person.

If they were user created sources with a globe then you do need to copy them, attach them to the correct people, and go back and detach them from the wrong people. Hints have nothing to do with user created sources.
