Response to Permission for an ordinance

A request to do ordinances for a deceased person was submitted several weeks ago. I have had NO response from the request sent to me.

However, today I noticed on that PID "Permission to request these ordinances is being reviewed." on the person's PID temple page (LJ4F-PZ1). NO date appears with that note. It only appears when clicking on "Request Permission" for the ordinance

How much time does this approval generally require? Will notification ONLY be shown through the PID ordinances page?

Is this the 'normal' procedure? It DOES seem appropriate to provide that info when the "Request Permission" is clicked on (for others), but It would seem more appropriate to have had a direct acknowledgement to the request!!! AND a notification of an approval (or disapproval) through FS Mail or Email or ?????

Other than posting the name for the PID (which, of course, I know) I don't quite understand the need for a "private message."

The answer to my questions in the original post seem to be:

NO, you will not receive a response to the original request that it was received.

YES, responses will only be shown on the individual PID's Temple page by clicking on 'request permission' (without any date or explanation).

--- I'm unsure why this info below could not have been posted herein (or with the permission 'form') for others who might like to understand the process better.

"The specialty team that receives these requests review them in the order they are received. It may take several weeks for your request to be reviewed, as this team receive a high volume of requests.

Once a request to perform ordinances is reviewed, you should receive a response by mail whether it is declined or approved."

Why not just add an explanation to/with the permission request form? (or perhaps I missed it) Perhaps it's all explained in 'Help' somewhere.

Offered in the hope that someone might add some clarification to the process for other users who might like to know.

Thank you for the prompt response. No further response needed, I'll just patiently wait for the 'decision'.
