Have the 'preferred' marriage default to the top the of 'Spouses and Children' list .
Why is the preferred spouse not at the top of the Spouses and Children list and how can I move it to the top of the list? If I can't, it shouldn't be that hard for the developers to do it.
For a person with multiple spouses, having the preferred couple default to the top of the list means less scrolling; one already has to scroll past vitals, other information, events, and facts b/4 getting to family members. Even if the children of nonpreferred spouse(s) are hidden, you can end up with the preferred couple farther and farther away from primary info, such as parents of husband or wife. The more spouses, the farther away you may end up.

The Preferred spouse or parents setting only determines which will appear on the pedigree views where only one can be shown at a time.
On the person page spouses should remain in chronological order just like every other fact on the page about the person.

Also to put the marriage information back between the couple's names would make more sense, instead of under the wife's name on the new person version page.

Echoing Gordon, my reaction to putting the preferred spouse at the top of the Family Members section is "PLEASE don't". That section is and absolutely should remain in chronological order.
The New Person Page group (where this discussion properly belongs) has some threads about the placement of marriage information, along with Gordon's well-reasoned advocation for the new placement: separating the parents from the children, rather than the couple from each other.

What I am really hoping is that they start listing all marriage facts in chronological order there under the couples names so it becomes sort of like the Other Information section with each marriage fact being able to be tagged with applicable sources. It would be great to be able to see the engagement, banns, marriage, and divorce dates and places all right there on the Detail page instead of stuck by themselves on the couple relationship page. Can't do that with the date between the couple as it would put too much room between the couple's names.
