A man who married 3 times, twice to the same woman with another marriage in between
I've got a situation where a fellow David Fraley KPQS-PL5 was married 3 times. He first married Isabella Bates in 1844. They had some children, then divorced in 1848. In 1850 David Fraley married Harriet Folsom, and they divorced later in 1850, with no children. In 1851, David Fraley married Isabella Bates again, and they had more children. There are sources attached to the profile supporting this sequence.
When I tried to add Isabella Bates as the 3rd spouse of David Fraley, the software wouldn't allow it, saying that the relationship was already present, I presume because the 1844 marriage is on David Fraley's profile. Meanwhile, his profile now displays a marriage to Isabella in 1844, then followed by all the children from both his 1844 and 1851 marriages, followed by the marriage to Harriet Folsom in 1850. Is that how it should work? It looks odd to me to see children born after the divorce listed after their parents marriage in 1844, along with their father's marriage in 1850 to someone else--most of the children weren't born until after the 1851 marriage. It looks like the children were from the 1844 marriage suggesting the 1850 marriage to Harriet Folsom is an error on the tree, but it isn't. It would seem to make more sense to show the first marriage to Isabella Bates followed by a display of the children from their first marriage, then the marriage to Harriet Folsom, and then a third marriage for David Fraley with Isabella listed again, followed by the children from the 2nd time they were married. After all, he was married 3 times, but it's not obvious looking at the profile. Unless you open up the marriage records and sources to see what's going on, it looks like he was married only twice and had some of his children with his first wife while he was married to his second. Also if you go to Isabella's profile KCBK-H37, it just looks like she was married once, when she was really married twice to the same person. Thanks.

The marriage event(s) and sources are handled as you describe. It looks like everything is in order - but yes requires a person browsing the profile to access those marriage events to determine that sequence (it takes a bit of getting used to but that is currently how FamilySearch handles marriage events - only the first marriage event is displayed but the other events are attached/viewed when selecting). If you click on the displayed marriage event (below the couple) rather than the Edit (pencil icon):
you will see I tagged the marriage sources (first marriage, divorce, second marriage) so that helps display the sequence a bit better. In the future who knows if FamilySearch might change the way things are displayed - but some of these changes (tagging of sources for example) are fairly recent - so I don't know if there will be many changes anytime soon.

I have at least 2 similar cases.
Just add note about the re-marriages. (new version will display the note much more efficient.)

Thanks. I have put an alert note on David Fraley's profile. I do hope that Familysearch will change the marriage display to make these situations more obvious at the higher levels of display.
