Missing baptism

I am assisting a member to locate information regarding her sister's baptism which was done while her sister was still living, however, it does not show as completed in Family Search. Her sister's name is Wanda Jeanette Campbell, LLC5-PH3, DOB 21 March 1959, DOD 3 September 2020. How do I verify if the ordinance was previously completed, or if it needs to be redone?

Hi Liz Welcome to FamilySearch Community and posting your question about ordinances. The procedure when a member of the church passes away is for the ward clerk to enter the death information on the membership record. When this doesn't happen, as appears to be the case for Wanda, then a request needs to be made to have the death information added. When this is done, a new record for the individual will appear in Family Search with the ordinance information displayed. There are two ways for your friend to make this request. If she knows which ward has her sister's membership record, she can make a request to have the ward clerk enter the information. Or she can call Family Search at 866-406-1830 and make the request. Hours are 8 to 8 MT Mon thru Sat and 1 to 8 MT on Sunday. Hope this helps.
