Deleting people in family tree

You can use the "detach" option to remove them from your family. Or, if it's an issue of a duplicate, you can use the "merge" option.

Hi thank you, for some reason it does not give me the option to use "detach" either. Not sure why.

If you want to share the profile, if the persons are deceased, someone else can take a look.

Hi, Sorry for the delayed response. I have not logged on to Family Search since the day that I posted this question. Thank you ... I will try that ... I just have to figure out how to do that. Would I share it to the community comments where I originally put the question?

@TekaLombardo, there isn't actually a button or link labeled "detach"; this action is achieved by editing the incorrect relationship and using "remove or replace".
