Catalog record (film) listed in wrong collection

Állami anyakönyvek : 9th district, 1895-11976 (sic!) includes the following item

Note: Köt. 3321 Születtek no dates listed (sz. 1141-2159)

Film: 2434140 Item 2

Image Group Number (DGS): 4855720

Though the linked image https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:33S7-9PBZ-LQF?mode=g&cat=1052036 should rather describe vol. 4160 Death register for 10th district in year 1974.

Pleas let me know how to get it corrected.

We've been told that catalog corrections should be sent to the Library using the address [email protected]

This one's definitely a catalog error: the 10th district's catalog page ends with 1972 deaths, with no mention of these extra years, while the 9th district's page can't even decide on the correct film number, never mind the contents.

That's not the only error in the catalog's film-to-digital number associations, nor in its district identifications.

Film 2434140 is correctly DGS 4855713. Searching the catalog for 4855713 sends you to the IXth district's entry, but there's no sign of it there, on any of the three pages. 2434140 behaves similarly, except that it's on IX's second page, associated with the wrong DGS, and without the dates for item 2. Items 1 and 3 are nowhere in the catalog that I can find.

    item 1: IX births 1913 Jan-Aug

    item 2: IX births 1913 Aug-Dec

    item 3: IX births 1914 Jan-May

Film 2434141 is 4855714. Item 2 has the wrong DGS (and therefore wrong link), and I can't find item 1 anywhere in the catalog.

    item 1: IX births 1914 May-Aug

    item 2: IX births 1914 Aug-Dec

item 3: IX births 1915 Jan-Jun (correct in catalog)

Film 2434147 is 4855720. Item 1 is incorrectly identified as district IX, and item 2 is conflated with 2434140's item 2.

    item 1: X deaths 1973

    item 2: X deaths 1974

Film 2434148 is correctly DGS 4855721. Items 1-2 are incorrectly filed under district IX, and item 3 is missing from the catalog, as far as I can tell.

    item 1: X deaths 1975 Jan-May

    item 2: X deaths 1975 May-Dec

    item 3: X deaths 1976 Jan-June

If the second half of Xth district deaths for 1976 was filmed, it wasn't filed under the next sequential number: 2434149/4855722 is VIIIth district.

Note that if you can find or figure out the correct DGS number, you can go to the correct film by editing the film-number-based URL: https://www.familysearch.org/search/film/004855713.

Thanks Julia for sharing the contact to the Library and for your invaluable comments.

Would you please also advise how to proceed, I mean shall I send my suggestions one by one or group them per district or year? As you said, there are quite many links to revise.

Considering the number of items to check I think it is too much work for one person. Maybe there is already a special user group with focus on Budapest catalog records to cooperate with. Is anyone interested in discovering those civil records more easily?
