I had a neighbor who just died. He had a long terminal illness, during which I asked if I could do his temple work for him. He gave me his personal, unstressed, permission, face to face. I have tried all other places to ask this question but there were no such places. Can you help? Pat Anselmo

Please refer to the Knowledge Article below:

    https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/can-i-request-proxy-temple-ordinances-for-a-friend

    The article states:

"Make sure that you have signed, written permission from one of your friend's close living relatives. We cannot accept signed, written permission from yourself or your deceased friend. Permission must be from the close living relative.

If your deceased friend has no close living relatives that can provide written permission, then a request cannot be granted."
