Ordinances with replaced father same name

I found a family incorrectly connected to a man with the same name as their father. All the sealings were done to the wrong guy. So question: the men have the same name, do the sealings need to be done with the right guy, or because they had the same name, they are good?

James William Ingram Jr. LT3R-5SZ

His wife was sealed, and all their children were sealed.

    Hi @ Christy Roseberry Peterson

Thank you for posting your question regarding the validity of the sealings done for James William Ingram Jr. LT3R-5SZ

The sealings to spouses are ok because the father and son will have a different ID.

If you are referring to the children where sealing has been done and a further request has been made as the notice shown below.

The sealings are valid as outlined in the Knowledge Article below.

Why doesn't the sealing-to-parents ordinance list the parents?

On the ordinance screen for an individual, the Sealing to Parents ordinance date occasionally appears without showing the names of the parents. The most common reason for this is that the set of parents in Family Tree does not match the set of parents associated with the ordinance.

You can also see this when Family Tree cannot display the parents associated with the ordinance because of privacy rights.

The Sealing to Parents date represents a valid temple ordinance for the child. If an additional Sealing to Parents ordinance shows without a completed date, keep in mind that Church policy allows you to seal a person to more than one set of parents.

If another completed Sealing to Parents ordinance date shows, this also represents a valid temple ordinance. If you have further questions about sealing ordinances, please see your ecclesiastical leader.

I guess I’m asking if the Sealings can be “restored” so the the sealing shows done to the current father. The other man who the sealing was active to was the wrong guy so I changed them out. They have the same name. So could the ordinances be marked as done?
