Reserving ordinances

I have a large number of ordinances I have shared with the temple. Family/friends are willing to help do only sealing ordinances. However, it is PAINFULLY slow to have to go through my list to find sealings that are ready to be done.

I have to go name by name to see if baptism/initiatory, endowment [when necessary] are done for parents or individuals before I can get to the sealings. Am I missing something? Is there a faster, better way to do this?

    Have you tried using the filters?

    "use the Perform Next option to see which ordinances are available for you to take to the temple now. This option filters out those ordinances that need a prior ordinance."

    This is very helpful!! Thanks. Why does Family Search not have this help on their reservations page???? I would think there are others besides me that could benefit from this.

    Question: Once I select those I want with this above filter, how do I print out an FOR. I do not see anything on the page that has PRINT. I have gone to Shared with Temple page to select the ordinances I want.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

    The Help Center has articles and blog posts that you can search by topic or keywords. You may also be interested in the article Correct Order of Temple Ordinances

    About the FOR: Are you trying to print from "My Reservations" or a Family Group? If they are shared with a temple, you need to unshare them so that you can print the cards or FOR. Have you read through How do I print a Family Ordinance Request (FOR)?

    I hope that helps.

    Thanks. I did not understand that I needed to unshare the names.

    Ok, so I unshared them with the temple and chose them and printed cards. Now the names show up in My Reservations.

    Then if I do another batch of unsharing with temple, the new batch now shows up in My Reservations. If I choose the filter "Not Printed" it adds in all in My Reservations that aren't printed. If I use the filter "Perform Next" it picks up printed and not printed. How do I structure the filter so that it only picks up not printed and perform next? I don't want to have to scroll down the whole list of My Reservations picking out the right ones.

    I just found another problem I need rectified. I'm using the filter "Perform Next" and choosing SP and SS for ordinance. One name that popped up for SS; I checked it out on Family Search, and it has not had baptism, confirmation, initiatory, endowment done. Why is this name popping up? I though the "Perform Next" was supposed to check that all necessary ordinances were done before it got to the sealing.

    @mommycita

    The SS is on a separate ordinance row and as such can be completed before any individual ordinances are completed. Please see this Help Center article for more information about sealings: Correct order of temple ordinances

    If you have control of the individual ordinances, you should complete them before the SS.
