How do I search Soviet census and birth records? I cannot find any at all.

Either I am searching for the wrong thing, but I just cannot find any census data from the soviet censuses or the birth records as well. Can someone help me?

    If the Soviet Union had genealogically-relevant censuses -- which is not at all guaranteed -- they'd all be too recent to be public. Ditto for birth records.

    Remember that the Comunists only won the Russian Civil War finally in 1922. Hence the founding of the Soviet Union being only just over the 100 year rule.

    The first actual census wasn't until 1927. There's also the real possibility that the records were destroyed by WWII or simply not kept, being destroyed after the statistical information was extracted.
