Why are these New Zealand births missing from NZ Civil Records in FamilySearch?

Hi,

The following births are showing on https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/

but do not show up within FamilySearch New Zealand Civil Records https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/2697870

Is the indexing broken or am I doing something wrong? It would be great if you could search on the NZ BDM registration number within FamilySearch.

Thanks for your help.

@JulianOrange Unfortunately, we do not know why you are not able to find those 3 entries within the record collection New Zealand, Civil Records Indexes, 1800-1966 on FamilySearch. The most likely answer is that errors were made in indexing the names. Our volunteer indexers do make mistakes, of course. And it can be hard to guess what kinds of errors they might have made. We are glad that you were able to find the entries on the NZ gov website, at least.

Thanks for the reply. Pleased to hear it is likely an indexing error and not some wider issue with the Civil Records Index.

    Thanks.
