messaging should include ancestor's FS number

When I want to communicate with someone about an ancestor we've both worked on, especially about ordinances that need to be completed, I am in the ancestor's person page and click on the message box of the person who has the ordinance reserved. A message box comes up with the ancestor's name and dates in it, but not the ID #. That can make it really hard for someone to find the ancestor that i am referring to if they have a big file.
Please add the FS # to the heading when a new message is started, or better yet, allow the person to just click on the name and go right to the person page.
Thank you

Hmm, this is an interesting observation. Historically the About section at the top of the message contained a link to the ancestor's record so you didn't really need the RIN. However, after reading this post I went back to my Messages and confirmed this is no longer the case. I hadn't even noticed before now. Newer messages do not contain a link, just the person's name and date as Karan Ravert described. Older messages still have the links. It appears this features was changed/broken somewhere between Nov 7-14, 2022. Can anyone else confirm they are seeing the same problem?
Example of older Messages with links (pre Nov 7, 2022):
Example of newer Message without links (post Nov 14, 2022:

That is an Interesting Idea, I see how it could be helpful.

You got a linked message sent by somebody else using "Previous Version"
This issue had been escalated to the team January 24.

As of March 1, 2023, my messages from the person page don't have a link or ID number, although they should. But the message I received for a memory I had added DID have the ID link. It was so much easier! I keep getting messages about people and I have no idea who they are among the thousands of names on my trees.

I just received another FamilySearch message from someone in FamilySearch I have no idea which deceased ancestor they are talking about because they do not identify the name or FS ID#.
I recommend auto-linking the FamilySearch ID number of the deceased person's page from which they got sent their message from. I think they could only get my FamilySearch message link to send to me, by visiting a page of someone deceased I had edited. This would most likely be the page from the deceased family the person is messaging me about.
There are new inexperienced or elderly or absent minded people using family search messaging that don't always remember to identify the deceased who they are talking about, and having it automatically list the FamilySearch ID number could help.

why ask them for the number, that too would solve some of the issues, but not always.

David Brocious,
I am getting a rash of messages without the link since March 4.
This issue had been escalated Jan 24 and still not fixed. All I got was "Thank you" and nothing about who or what it is about.
It If you would just looked at the link Julia Szent-Györgyi ✭✭✭✭✭

NOTHING (my emphasis) to do with inexperienced or elderly or absent minded people.
It has to do with the "NEW VERSION" that is BROKEN. "PREVIOUS VERSION" always linked to specific individual automatically.
Don't "accuse" inexperienced or elderly or absent minded people for something they didn't do.
Moderator - will you please RE-escalate the issue? This is serious problem.

This is a problem also in the Family Tree mobile app. Messages started from a profile (or change log?) have an About line. The About line includes the person's name, birth and death dates, and then • Person • Family • Tree • FamilySearch but nothing is a live link.
