KWNF-1W5 Norman Lee Smith Baptism Record?
My Name is David Jackson, I am the biological son of Norman Lee Smith. I was adopted at birth by the Jacksons. I verified my biological relationship to Norman Lee Smith via Ancestry DNA in 2022. I created a record for my biological Father Norman Smith #GJT9-LSQ. My father died in 2010. I found the duplicate record above (KWNF-1W5) which shows a LDS Baptism date PRIOR to his death. To my knowledge, Norman Lee Smith was never a member of the church. I have reserved ordinances which I would like to perform for my father, but noticed the baptism date is not only PRIOR to his death, but PRIOR to the existence of Family Search. HOW CAN I VERIFY THIS BAPTISMAL RECORD BELONGS TO MY FATHER? Is it possible a merged record affiliated with a different Norman Lee Smith was incorrectly merged?
