Can I get permission to redo the work for my grandmother that was done improperly by a non-relative?

I am posing this question on behalf of Ethlyn. Her grandmother, Mary Richardson's (LZNY-1N9) temple work was done by a non-relative in 2012. This was done before 110 years had passed since her birth and she would have had to get permission from the closest living relative, who is Ethlyn. She did not ask Ethlyn. Ethlyn would like permission to redo her grandmothers temple work. Is this possible?

Thank you for your help,

Cynthia Black on behalf of Ethlyn
