What if any date restrictions are there for performing ordinances work (i.e. before 1400)?

    The current date restriction is 200 AD (See: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/can-i-request-ordinances-for-people-who-lived-before-a-d-200 ). So before 1400 is fine, IF you have good, reliable, accepted sources that confirm a proper relationships each step of the way from you to that person. One of the many counterfeit pedigrees floating around the internet does not count. A "history" that someone published which is likely more fiction than fact does not count. Family legends do not count.

    Also, you have to be extra careful due to wide variations in how names have been recorded that the person does not already exist in Family Tree and already has ordinance work completed.
