I think FamilySearch patrons should try a little harder to get people to stay and work with the open edit shared FamilySearch "Family Tree." It has now been over a decade since I complained about the "Family Tree." I thought a private tree was the only way to go. I think I will always have trouble with the open edit and shared part of the tree, but I am happy there were those that tried to keep me working with the "Family Tree." I know that the tree has to be an open edit tree in order for patrons to enter their data. The "Collaboration" part is only a plus if you get other family members to also input what data they remember about a shared ancestor. Patron MichelleMillerPrice stay and work with the FamilySearch "Family Tree" a little longer. Give it a chance, I know the concept is different. If you are having trouble, just ask your questions here in this feedback, and I know many other patrons will help you along your road within your new experiment in genealogy. Looking back I am happy and thankful for those that tried to get me to stay and work in the "Family Tree." With sincere appreciation to all of you, thank you, thank you, for wanting me to stay and work in the FamilySearch "Family Tree.
