How do I obtain permission?

My grandmother who has passed gave me permission long before she died to perform the temple ordinances for her mom, herself and her son. However, I procrastinated and am now needing assistance in how I can perform their ordinances.

Your grandmother and your great grandmother (her mom) are direct line ancestors. You should be able to request their ordinances.

Hi Reyna - Welcome to FamilySearch Community and posting your question about ordinances for your ancestors. Permission to do ordinances must be from a living close relative. So the permission received from your grandmother is not valid. What you should do is to go into Family Search and for each of the individuals you mention, request the ordinances, fill out the form, and submit. You should be able to request directly the ordinances for your grandmother without the form (see the instructions). Your requests will be reviewed. Here is a link for the instructions on how to fill out the form. If you have further questions or comments, please let us know.
