    Hi Kelsey,

on FamilySearch, there isn't really a "your tree". There is a global, common, shared "Family Tree", where ideally every individual should appear only once.

If you refer to "your tree" as the Family Tree view starting with your person, you need to make sure that you are connected to at least one not-living person, who is already on the Family Tree, or manually create the living persons that connect you to them.

When you upload a gedcom file, this usually does not add everyone automatically to the Family Tree. In particular, living people are never added automatically.

You can review your matches here, where you have imported your gedcom file: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/import/files

You should have a "VIEW" link next to your gedcom file, then look for people Already in Family Tree.

If you have such individuals, you can click on their names ( in the right-hand column, Family Tree Match of the GEDCOM Person) and from there on you should be able to explore the Family Tree.
