As you may have discovered, FamilySearch does have some records for Cape baptisms (Ferreira) for the period - see https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&q.birthLikeDate.from=1901&q.birthLikeDate.to=1905&q.birthLikePlace=cape%20province&q.birthLikePlace.exact=on&q.surname=Ferreira&q.surname.exact=on, but not indexed civil birth registrations. Quite a lot to scroll through if you do not have a place of birth. Although a brief look at a few of the locations indicates the records might just relate to deaths, in spite of the collection title at https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1779109.
