I have a question on names that are in the column : Nomen sec. I believe this means nomen secundus. Which is translated as second name. Is this entered with the first name as part of the given name? Or is it the last name, entered as the surname?

From what I've been able to determine, Nomen sec means second name. I looked up second name and found that it is the name before the surname (last name) but after the given (Christian) name. To me that translates to what we call our "middle" name. In some of the records it looks like surnames have been entered in the Nomen sec. column. In other records, when we're in doubt as to whether a name is a given name or a surname, we put it as part of the given name. Therefore, I am putting all the names for each person as part of their given name unless they are clearly marked as surnames or last names.
