Add preferences to descendancy charts

I agree with the person who said it would be a huge improvement if you could add a 5th or 6th generation to descendency charts. Then it would be easier to remember where you left off when trying to keep track on your 7 generation fan chart.

But my other suggestion is that you allow descendancy chart users to set up a preference. Every time I am in a 4 generation descendancy and click on a blue research hint or green ordinance box, it takes me to an individual. When I go back to locate the next individual, my chart has reverted to 1 generation. It becomes very time consuming to figure out where I left off. And a 1 generation descendency??? Why do you need one? You could just as well look at the first person's profile page.

@Rusty Rail Miller For green temple icons - if you do press Request button - it will take you to a new window. To prevent that you could copy the ID and then open it in a new tab/window - leaving the Descendancy tab open so that you do not lose place.

For blue Record Hints - I see the option to right-click and open that link in a new tab/window. That should help you keep the Descendancy view open and not lose place.

If you click on the person's name, a mini window will open. Then hold down the "ctrl" key and click on the person's name in the mini window. A new window/tab will open showing the person's page. The window/tab showing the Descendancy Chart will remain opened & unchanged. Close the person's page when your through with it and you'll be back on the Chart. Hope this helps you.
