Expiration Date changed to 120 days from 90 days

I just noticed that the expiration date of reserving ordinances that have been shared with the temple now says 120 days rather than 90 days. I'm really hoping that this change is an indication that we are finally going to be have expiration dates reinstated. Is there any news on this front?

Expiration dates are currently still being suspended until all temples are fully operational as noted on the banner at the top of the temple reservation tab. The article indicates the 90-day reservations are now 120-day reservations. This is how the software is now calculating the reservation term.

@Brea Melford, good catch. I have not seen anything indicating a change from 90 to 120 days until you pointed it out. Like you I hope that means we are starting the reserve clock again. FS is the 120 day change going to be permanent? I really prefer the 90 day period instead.

That's a new article. I'm still not clear if this is saying that the they are now honoring expiration dates and no longer suspending expiration dates as indicated here.

Temples are open now and the reservations are still rolling forward every day. That means they will never expire. Time to halt the suspension of expiration dates? Please??

All temples have been in phase 4 for months. So, it seems there is more to be considered "Fully" open

Having the 90 day reservations extended to 120 days doesn't make me happy at all! I already see people take the 90 day reservations and hang on to them way to long. If 3 months isn't enough time to figure out when to make a temple appointment, how will 6 months be any better? I really hope that this "120 day limit" is a temporary thing. Wasn't the function of "Temple Ready" or "Ordinance Ready" to provide a quick grab & go? More than 90 days is no longer a quick grab & go. It has now lost its prime objective.
One problem with the 120 days that I see is that there are many ancestors on my reservation list with whom I have shared the B/C/I/ or E with the temple, and saved the SP/SS to do myself. Those SP/SS take up room on my reservation list limit of 300. It seems to me that giving people more time than 90 days to do the ordinances will slow things down. My reservation list will be eventually be filled up with ordinances in the "waiting" category.

Just FYI 120 days is 4 months not 6.

I feel your pain with the 300 limit, but I am hopeful it might finally help unlock more ordinances that have been reserved way too long. I've had to get really creative as, I personally do the work for about 300 ordinances every month. As of right now, rather than my queue of reservations being on my account, my queue of 4,000 ordinances is shared with the temple. And with that many, I'm super glad for anyone to pull them, as long as they DO them.
I have to submit the SP's to the temple and just pull them back every time an endowment is done or I share them with one of my kids accounts. The SS I'm not having any problem submitting them to the temple and just grabbing what I need right before I go. These are not being pulled very quickly from my account. I currently have 987 SS shared with the temple and this is a record month of 10 of them being done so far. I no longer wait to do the endowment first, because the temple doesn't wait. They'll do all the SS's regardless of what other work has been done.

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't know what happened to my multiplication skills earlier today.

"...And with that many, I'm super glad for anyone to pull them, as long as they DO them."
This is exactly how I feel. Some people take the 90 day, now 120 day, names and hang on to them for several months. Some of my shared w/temple names have been reserved by others for over a year or more, and I'm pretty sure that those people live near an open temple. I can understand the CV19 temple restrictions. But I think that most, if not all, of the temples are fully open and have been for opened for a long while now. I will be glad when the expiration dates are applied. I hope it is soon. When I take a name from the temple system, I treat it as if there is still the 90 day limit on it, even though it's not being applied. Those names kind of nag at me if I don't get them done right away.
Brea Mefford, I'm super glad for you that you have figured out a way to make it work for you. I'm not sure that I could keep track of all that.

@LAHS6 Oh, I have to have a spreadsheet to track it all and manage all the ordinances. It's not easy, but I'm trying to make sure no one gets left behind.
