Lawrence County, Alabama has probate records which show up in a catalog search as being on microfilm in the Salt Lake library. The film number a patron is looking for is 1710953. Are there probate records from US jurisdictions which are available but which cannot be viewed online? The description is: Probate court v. Q (cont. p. 175-end)-S 1904- 1914

Thanks!

Yes, there are records that have been microfilmed and digitized but can only be viewed at the main library in Salt Lake City.

Contract restrictions from the record holder/creator determine what can be viewed online from home, at an Affiliate Library, or at a local Family History Center. Many Alabama probate records, including marriage records, are in that group.
