Permission to do ordinances

Hello,

I need help obtaining permission to perform temple ordinances for a close friend who passed away over a year ago. I have written permission from the deceased friend's living spouse.

I talked with someone at family search over three months ago who said she started the process for me, but I haven't received any updates or confirmation. I just want to make sure this request is truly in process.
